The wired Baja Designs relay switch is for use with dual output stators only.

Bikes that come from the factory with a dual output stator will have the relay switch included in the Dual Sport Kit. 

Bikes such as the XR400, 91-on XR600, and XR650R will require a relay switch if the stator is rewound as a dual output.
