At Baja Designs, we take our slogan “The Scientists of Lighting” seriously and are always testing new technology to make our lights the best on the market. Introducing the next generation of LED technology to our lights means more distance, more intensity, and more versatility. This allows us to put the most useable light, where you the driver need it most without sacrificing near or mid-field illumination. Born from our BDX program and race-proven with the 2021, 2022, & 2023 Baja 1000 overall victory, learn more below about how we use the race course as testing grounds for the latest technology in performance lighting.
Implementing next-generation LED technology throughout the Baja Designs lineup has led to performance gains of up to 237% in distance, spread, and intensity. As a result of this continued innovation of LED technology, a pricing increase will be effective 11/28/23 to the Baja Designs product lineup.
This pricing increase will allow us to continue to innovate and deliver the best lighting solutions to the market. The next-generation LED technology has been implemented across our product lineup since January 2022, so there is no need to worry about upgrading your lights. Please see below for more information on the performance increase per light series.

BORN FROM RACING
Racing is at the core of Baja Designs and is our testing platform for new technology. We have used Baja racing, and our time testing in the desert to validate products before going to market. This is a method that we are proud of, but not one that we have made public over the years. Sharing glimpses of these special BDX lights with the public before launch is our way of finally bringing this practice into the public eye.
Race Proven in the Baja 1000
Check out our video where we worked with Luke McMillin to create a custom-tailored lighting package utilizing our next-generation LEDs. Luke has gone on to pilot his truck over 1200 miles from Ensenada to La Paz through some of the most grueling terrains in the world, resulting in three consecutive Baja 1000 victories in 2020, 2021, 2022.
